About the Author

Victoria Niño is an author, advocate for women experiencing infertility, and the founder of Infertility Unfiltered. She shares her experiences of becoming a mother via donor eggs on her blog, Expecting Anything. She struggled with infertility before having her daughter and her son. Niño found her way to emotional healing through writing, speaking out, and finding a caring community.

“Our Hearts Match” is an incredible story about a mother T-rex who has raised and hatched her baby Brontosaurus. The book celebrates the bond between mother and baby even if they don’t match in appearance.

Follow the story of mom and baby as they go through their day and share what is different, and what they love about each other. As the Brontosaurus baby notices that there are things about them that don’t match—the length of their necks, their sizes, and their color. She also notices that there are things about them that do match—the way love to dance, their roars, their smiles, and, finally, their hearts!

Author Victoria Niño has written a beautiful book inspired by her personal experience with egg donor conception. “Research shows that you should talk to your donor-conceived child about their origins as early as possible, yet, it’s the hardest thing for most parents to do,” explains Niño. “This book can help you communicate difficult, yet beautiful, love stories with pride.”

This is Niño’s first children’s book, and hopes to normalize donor egg conception, while also celebrating all non-traditional families. Our Hearts Match” is a book for all families, written to show the important bond between parent and child outside of their DNA.

This was a connection point for us, and a story we both got excited to talk about. I’ll never forget the moment she looked at me and said ‘You are my T-rex mama and I’m your brontosaurus baby!’ She was able to put it together all on her own. It was a very easy book for me to write, because I had been working on it with her for years. It’s our special story.
